Wuhrplatz is a square located in the old part of Langenthal, a small city in Switzerland. In the last years, the square has only been used as a parking space. It will now be renovated and should become a meeting place for the community.
The prerequisite for the competition was that the artwork should include the element of water. I decided to integrate the whole square, so that it is not an isolated work of sculpture or a fountain.
The circles are reminiscent of rain drops falling onto water. The fountain is located in the centre of the circles.
